Limit Setting in the Play Room: Play Therapy has a lot to say about Boundaries

Often children test limits in a play room. Depending on one’s theoretical training, how the clinician implements these boundary settings in her/her play room is not anticipated. Learning how, why, and when to set limits is an integral part of Play Therapy.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will identify behaviors that need limit-setting in play therapy
  • Participants will learn Play Therapy techniques to successfully manage/stop acting out behavior.
  • Participants will learn how to join with parents to help in limit-setting in their parenting strategies.
