Too often clinicians distract from children’s painful sense of loss by prescribing an activity to assuage difficult moments. This webinar will focus on therapists’ counter-transference conceptualizing issues of children’s losses and provide practical techniques for both clinicians and child. Focus will be on death, the preeminent painful loss for all.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify transference, counter-transference issues in death
  • Conceptualize issues of death for children and discuss how it is played out in a play room.
  • Provide techniques/approaches to assist both therapists and child through this painful time.
